A bit about me:
I have been in the healthcare profession since 1987 and Dental Assisting was my first career choice as I embarked in General Practice. Soon after that, I wanted to expand my knowledge and proceeded to join a specialty office in Orthodontics. During that time, I received my certification and gained recognition as a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist through the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC). Two years ago I stepped down from dentistry and followed my true passion of reflexology. Starting a new business was the next chapter in my life and becoming an entrepreneur has been very challenging and exciting. This brought me to the Kawartha Care Wellness Centre.
Why I enjoy working at KCWC:
An opportunity presented itself and I knew this was a great place to practice! I was welcomed into practice and felt like I was part of the team instantly. This very friendly, team-oriented environment, was a sure fit for practicing reflexology. The multidisciplinary practice and collaboration with other professionals to help patients reach their wellness goals and enjoy their life pain-free is something I am proud to be a part of.
My areas of expertise are:
My expertise is foot reflexology. It is not a massage and there is no manipulation of the muscles. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, the body is in a state of “imbalance”. Vital pathways are blocked preventing the body from functioning well. The pressure applied during a reflexology session is firm but gentle. Working along the meridian lines and nervous system breaking up tiny deposits and imbalances in these areas, encourages the body’s own ability to heal itself naturally and begins to restore at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse.
I have had great results with easing stress, anxiety, insomnia and reducing symptoms of neuropathy to name a few.
