PRACTITIONERS

Vestibular Rehabilitation is an effective form of Physiotherapy that assists in improving symptoms related to many vestibular (inner ear/balance) disorders. Patients with vestibular concerns experience vertigo, imbalances, visual disturbances, and/or dizziness. Oftentimes they are nervous to partake in activities as they aren’t sure when these symptoms will come in. These are the problems that rehabilitation aims to address. Other problems can also arise that are secondary to vestibular disorders, such as nausea and/or vomiting, reduced ability to focus or concentrate, and fatigue.

Symptoms due to vestibular disorders can impact all aspects of daily living and cause anxiety and depression in many people. Your best bet for treating issues with the vestibular system is Vestibular Rehabilitation. This therapy is a research-based approach where individualized techniques are used to help the brain compensate for problems in the vestibular system.

This treatment also uses maneuvers that are done to correct mechanical dysfunctions in the vestibular part of the inner ear.
