What is Cupping?
If you recall watching the summer Olympics, you would have seen many swimmers with small red/purple circles on their shoulders, back, and thighs. These temporary bruises are due to a popular therapeutic technique called cupping.
Cupping therapy is done by placing silicone cups on areas of concern and creating suction in that specific area. The pressure underneath the cups helps to increase blood flow. It can also help blood circulation in the area and attracts immune cells to the location to increase the repair and recovery process.
Cupping is done by our Registered Massage Therapists and may be covered under your extended health benefits.
