Reflexology is the practice of applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. It is based on the premise that each point corresponds to over 7,200 nerve endings that relate to each organ, gland or part of the body. Through application of pressure, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation, and promotes regular function of the body.
Reflexology is also thought to decrease blockages within the body, which prevent healing. By putting pressure on the points that correspond to specific diseases, we aim to balance energy and open the pathways in the body.
Some insurance plans will cover Reflexology. After receiving your treatment, you will be issued a receipt that you can send to your insurance company to reimburse the cost of treatment.
Benefits of Reflexology are innumerable and can include the following:
- Increasing circulation
- Deep relaxation
- Improved nerve function
- Migraine relief
- Increased energy levels
- Toxin removal
- Cancer treatment side effect relief
- Pregnancy and menstruation
- …and much more!
