Dr. Marie-Josee (MJ) Charette is a licensed chiropractor who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, receiving the Clinic Proficiency Award. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, participating in the co-op program and playing varsity volleyball. Her co-op roles included working with the City of Toronto as an ergonomics student, working in the Digital Industrial Ergonomics and Shoulder Evaluation Laboratory (DIESEL) as a research assistant, and at a sports medicine clinic as a kinesiology student.
Dr. Charette uses an evidence-based approach in her practice, incorporating adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapies, exercise, acupuncture, and dry needling. Her goal is to identify and address the root cause of problems for effective treatment.
Dr. Charette’s chiropractic journey began in childhood when she sought help for her posture. Chiropractic care improved her posture and then continued to help her performance throughout her athletic career. This positive experience inspired her to become a chiropractor herself, aiming to help others achieve their full potential through holistic care.
When not at the clinic, you can find her playing volleyball, walking her dog, providing sideline coverage for professional and amateur sports, traveling, and crafting. Dr. Charette is dedicated to helping her patients achieve optimal health through personalized, patient-centered care.
